The Fledglings – Beginners
The Fledglings is our beginner-friendly group for those new to running or returning after a break. The focus is on building confidence, developing good habits, and enjoying running in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
Runs are limited to a maximum distance of 4.5 miles, allowing for regular stops, optional walk breaks, and a slower, comfortable pace. This approach helps runners progress safely and steadily, making The Fledglings an ideal starting point before moving on to other groups when ready.

This group is ideal for intermediate runners as well as beginners who are ready to step up from walk/run or shorter-distance programs. The focus is on building aerobic fitness, developing consistency, and gradually extending running distance in a supportive group environment. Runs are steady and conversational, allowing runners to improve endurance while gaining confidence.

Monthly Pub Runs
Once a month, we bring everyone together for a social pub run, where all groups combine and run as one big group. These runs are a great opportunity for members to mix, chat, and run alongside people they may not usually train with. We keep the pace relaxed, matching that of our slowest group, and cover approximately 4 miles together. The run finishes at a pre-selected local pub, where runners can enjoy a well-earned drink and some well-deserved social time!
