
Lancing Eagles excelled at the Splash Point 5k
Our men’s team won, women’s placed third, and Andrew McCaskill took overall victory.
Lancing Eagles Running Club delivered an outstanding set of performances at the Splash Point 5k, showcasing both depth and talent across their men’s and women’s teams in a highly competitive local race.
The men’s team claimed a brilliant 1st place overall, demonstrating strong teamwork and consistency throughout the event. The winning squad consisted of Andrew McCaskill, Nik Barter, Keir Heyman, and Liam Banham Rayward. Their combined efforts secured the top team position, reflecting both individual strength and cohesive pacing across the race. A standout performance came from Andrew McCaskill, who also achieved an exceptional individual result, finishing 1st overall in an impressive time of 00:16:27. His performance set the tone for the club’s success and highlighted his strong form on the day.


The women’s team also performed admirably, securing a well-earned 3rd place finish in a competitive field. The team featured Simone Collard, Rachael Shaw, Chloe Parks, and Danielle Robertson, all of whom contributed strong runs to secure a podium position. Their result underlines the continued progress and strength within the women’s section of the club, as well as their ability to compete at a high level against strong opposition.
The Splash Point 5k once again proved to be an exciting and fast-paced event. A huge congratulations and thank you goes to all the Lancing Eagles runners who took part, representing the club with determination, effort, and pride across both men’s & women’s teams.
